Band history!!

Pierce the Veil began in 2006 when brothers Vic and Mike Fuentes formed the band after their previous project, Before Today, came to an end. They wanted a fresh start that still carried forward their passion for post‑hardcore music. The band’s name came from a concept they had used in their earlier work, symbolizing breaking through harmful cycles. In 2007, they released their debut album A Flair for the Dramatic, which helped them gain early attention in the alternative scene. That same year, guitarist Tony Perry and bassist Jaime Preciado officially joined, solidifying the lineup fans would come to know. The band toured heavily to build momentum and connect with audiences. In 2010, they released Selfish Machines, an album that explored emotional duality and personal conflict. This release expanded their fanbase and showcased their evolving sound. Their breakthrough came in 2012 with Collide with the Sky, released under Fearless Records. The album featured some of their most iconic songs and pushed them into mainstream recognition. They became known for blending technical guitar work with melodic intensity. Their live performances earned a reputation for high energy and emotional impact. Over time, Pierce the Veil continued to refine their style while staying true to their roots. The band faced challenges, including lineup changes when Mike Fuentes departed. Despite this, they remained committed to creating music that resonated with fans. Their sound continued to evolve, incorporating elements of pop‑punk, experimental rock, and post‑hardcore. They maintained a strong presence in the alternative music scene through constant touring. By the mid‑2010s, they were widely regarded as leaders in their genre. Their influence extended to younger bands inspired by their emotional storytelling. Today, Pierce the Veil remains a significant force in modern rock. Their history reflects resilience, creativity, and a deep connection with their audience.
